Jobs On Board Global Limited (" T/A Jobs On Board Ltd and Jobs On Board") is committed to protecting the privacy of our candidates, clients and users of our website and services. We will ensure that the information you submit to us via our website or through to our office is only used for the purposes set out in this policy.
Jobs On Board Ltd privacy policy applies to personal information collected by Jobs On Board, whether we have asked for the information or not. The Information We Collect and How We Use It
Jobs On Board may collect your personal details, including but not limited to your name and contact details, including your e-mail address and other information as detailed on your CV or personal details as required for travel requests/bookings (financial, payment card information, your professional qualifications, professional interest’s, employment status/company references, etc. to provide you with our services) On occasions this may also include - sensitive personal information such as details of criminal convictions and ethnic origin. This information is held, used, and disclosed by us as follows:
· to provide our services to you;
· to maintain our business relationship, whether you are a user of our website, a client or a candidate;
· to enable you to submit your CV for general applications, to apply for specific jobs, or to subscribe to our job alerts (when activated). Please see the separate section on your CV below which outlines additional uses and disclosures;
· to match your details with job vacancies, to assist us in finding a position that is most suitable for you and to send your personal information (including sensitive personal information) to clients to apply for jobs;
· to answer your inquiries;
· to direct-market products and services, advise you of news and industry updates, events, promotions and competitions, reports, and other information. Where we do so, you will be able to unsubscribe from such communications;

Authorization for release of information:
· In connection with my application for or employment (including contract for service) with represented cruise lines, I authorize Jobs On Board Ltd and its respective agents to solicit information about my background including, but not limited to, information about my employment, education, consumer credit history, driving record, criminal record, social security history, and general public records history.
· I also authorize the procurement of an investigative consumer report. I understand that such an investigative report may contain information about my mode of living, character, and personal reputation and that I am entitled to be advised of the nature and scope of the investigation requested within a reasonable time after I ask in writing for this information.
· I release the company, Jobs On Board Ltd, its respective employees and agents, and all persons and entities providing information or reports about me from any and all liabilities arising out of the release of any such information or reports.
Lawful Basis for Collecting Data
Our legal basis for the processing of personal data is our legitimate business interests, described in more detail below, although we will also rely on a contract.
We will rely on a contract if we have entered into a contract with you and a third-party organization for the booking of travel arrangements.
Legitimate Interests: (carrying on the commercial activity of the provision of Recruitment Services):

Retaining records of our dealings and transactions and where applicable, use such records for the purposes of:-

Optional Provisions
Any sharing of information, through our website or any other electronic communications will only be done so on an as-needed basis with the cruise ship/ concessionaire/ resort/ airline you are interviewing for and/or ultimately hired with.
Contract: (Entering into and performing a contract with you):
In order to provide our crew management services to shipping companies/employers and to provide travel services, we may enter into a contract with the data subject and/or a third-party organization. In order to enter into a contract, we will need certain information, for example; name and address, passport details, financial information (for billing), and sensitive personal data. A contract will also contain obligations on both the data subject's part, our part, or a third party (client/employer). We shall process the data as is necessary for the purpose of those in order to fulfill our contractual obligations and to process flight, hotel, transfer, and train bookings on your behalf.
Curriculum vitae ("CV")
We give you the option of submitting your CV via our website and providing your CV to one of our consultants. You can do this either to apply for a specific advertised job or for consideration by our recruitment consultants for positions as they come up. Your CV will be stored in the Jobs On Board Ltd database and will be accessible by Jobs On Board recruitment consultants in NZ. You can withdraw your permission for your data processed at any given time, please email and use the same process as you did when submitting your information.
In using the Jobs On Board website and submitting your Curriculum Vitae and cover letter to this global recruiter in accordance with the GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) and all other data protection laws, you are giving your full consent for us to use the contents to secure employment for you.
You can update your CV at any time, simply by following the same procedure to submit a new CV. Your old CV will automatically be archived providing the submission details remain the same (for example you submit both CVs using the same email address, or you advise the relevant contact of your new submission).
